Ledgent Finance & Accounting is recruiting an Accounting Manager for a direct-hire opening in San Diego, CA. The role is fully onsite, five days a week.

What You Will Do

Lead, coach and develop a small accounting team. This is a true people-management seat, not a senior accountant who occasionally helps out.

Own the month-end close and drive it to be faster and cleaner.

Own reconciliations, journal entries and financial reporting in SAP.

Partner with operations and finance leadership on variance analysis and process improvement.

What You Need

Demonstrated people management experience. You have actually supervised, coached and developed staff.

3+ years of hands-on SAP experience. S/4HANA preferred, strong ECC is fine.

Clear career progression into an Accounting Manager level seat.

Background in public accounting or with a large, fast-moving company.

Intermediate Excel, including pivot tables, lookups and large data sets.

Nice to Have

CPA.

Bilingual.

A track record of shortening the close or leading a process improvement.

Multi-entity or multi-location accounting experience.

Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 per year, plus bonus.
